Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: April 25, 2025

Our Commitment

DriveSage is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards to achieve this.

We strive to ensure that our website and services are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. Our goal is to provide an experience that conforms to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards.

Compliance Status

We believe that our website is largely compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines. However, due to the complexity and dynamic nature of our service, some content may not be fully accessible. We are actively working to improve these areas.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. These guidelines make content more accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities, including accommodations for blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and combinations of these. WCAG 2.2 extends previous standards with new success criteria focused on mobile accessibility, users with low vision, and users with cognitive disabilities.

Accessibility Features

DriveSage includes the following accessibility features:

  • Color contrast: We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text to ensure readability for users with low vision.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard navigation, with visible focus indicators.
  • Screen reader compatibility: We use semantic HTML and proper ARIA attributes to ensure our content is interpretable by screen readers.
  • Text resizing: Our website supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Alternative text: All non-decorative images include appropriate alternative text descriptions.
  • Consistent navigation: Navigation mechanisms are consistent throughout the website.
  • Form labels: All form fields have associated labels to assist users in understanding their purpose.
  • Error identification: Input errors are clearly identified and described to users.
  • Light and dark modes: We provide both light and dark display modes to accommodate user preferences and visual needs.

Technology Used

DriveSage relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations:

  • Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to replace these with accessible versions.
  • Some data visualizations (charts and graphs) may be challenging for screen reader users, though we provide alternative text descriptions and data tables where possible.
  • There may be some video content that does not yet have captions or audio descriptions. We are working to address this.
  • Third-party content and functionality that we integrate with may not be fully accessible. We are working with our partners to improve this.

DriveSage assesses the accessibility of our website through the following methods:

  • Self-evaluation using automated testing tools
